There are two international airports in Tokyo – Narita Airport (NRT) & Haneda Airport (HND). We highly recommend flying to Haneda Airport (HND) if possible. It’s much easier to access central Tokyo.
The adventure begins! You have a full day to explore Tokyo or recover from your jet lag if needed. Check out our recommendations of things to do, places to see, and importantly where to eat in Tokyo.
The easiest way to get to Yamaguchi where the wedding will be held is to catch a flight from Haneda Airport (HND) to Yamaguchi Ube Airport (UBJ).
After you arrive in Yamaguchi, there will be a pre-party event in the evening. We hope you can join us!
For those who want to fully explore Yamaguchi, there will be a sightseeing tour in the morning. Unfortunately, we most likely cannot be your tour guide on this adventure (we have lots to prep!) but it’ll be a great way to spend the morning of a beautiful wedding day.
The wedding ceremony starts at 3:30 followed by the wedding reception and an after-party (for those who can still stand).
You probably want to take your morning slow. Spend as much time as you need until the check-out. After you check out the hotel, you can make your way to Kyoto by bullet train.
You have a full day to explore Kyoto and feel zen. Check out our recommendations of things to do and where to eat in Kyoto.
You can catch a bullet train to Tokyo for your flight back home. It takes about 2.5 hours. Make sure you sit on the left side, you might be able to see Mt. Fuji through the window!
If you are flying out from Haneda Airport (HND), get off the train at Shinagawa station.
There is Kansai International Airport (KIX) in Osaka. For those who want to book a flight out from KIX, that is an option too.
